Assassin's Creed Unity - Review

Image
I'm a fan of Assassin's Creed Saga (I've played all games since the first one came out). But they have been lowering down the quality of their last games that I even didn't care about ending them. I remember playing the first Assassin's game and finishing it, while it was a little repetive, it had a great story. Then the second part came out, the start of Ezio's trilogy, a great game with different missions and a good plot making you play it until the very end. I loved Assassin's Creed II, I finished 100% and I even used to play it again to see if I missed something. Then Brotherhood and Revelations came out; they weren't as good as the II but still enjoyable, I finished them both but without going to far with the extra missions and stuff. Then the third part came out with a new character and a new setting; Connor in the american revolutionary war. I even preordered the game before it came out but it ended up being a total disappointment, the gamepl

Interstellar - Review

Image
In a not so distant future, an ex-engineer from NASA who has a normal life as a farmer with his two children and his father but something is happening, a sandstorm is razing all over the world causing extreme changes in climate and wiping out the food. The man joins a group of explorers to travel through a wormhole that appeared mysteriously in the middle of space to find another planet in a new and unexplored galaxy. The man has to ask himself if to leave behind his family or save human race.  After finding some unstable planets where no one could live, he takes a turn to the mission by wanting to go back to his home planet and see his children (now adults) again. I prefer not to spoil anything from this movie because it has too many twists and surprises. The plot is very interesting as you can expect but there are some questions never answered, maybe the writers forgot about answering them but the movie would have been a perfect 10 if that was corrected.  It is hard to talk about

There has been an awakening - Star Wars Episode VII Trailer

Image
It has been an exciting day for all Star Wars fans. After a long, long time in a galaxy far, far away, we get a glimpse on the upcoming film, a very short teaser with a coulpe of scenes that shows us a little bit what to expect in the new movie. We can see a few new faces (but none from the old ones we are dying to see) including a lady riding a newer version of speed-bike, played by Daisy Ridley (who looks a lot like a new version of Princess Leia), a stormtrooper in the middle of a dessert that looks a lot like Tatooine, some X- Wing pilots flying very close by a lake and the second most interesting scene of all, a Sith Lord in the woods showing us a new kind of lightsaber that totally looks like a mix between the one we all  love and an old sword. Then the most exciting scene shows up, an intense fight in the sky with the infamous Millenium Falcon. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, while the title made a little of mixed opinions, the trailer has done exactly the same. Some people

The Park is Open - Jurassic World

Image
It has been 20 years since the original film was released. I remember going to the cinema and loving every second of it. Now, after two disappointing sequels, a new one has been made and I have to say it looks quite good, at least better than the sequels. Yes, the film looks like it will be full CGI (no animatronics like in the original one) but sure looks interesting, something I always wondered, how would it be if the park was open to the public? Now we get the answer. Too bad for the so many CGI but I cannot lie, I felt quite nostalgic while watching this trailer specially the last part when you can listen a slow piano version of the infamous Jurassic Park main theme...made me feel like a little kid once again! Now about the casting, while I'm totally okay with Chris Pratt as the main actor (he did an excellent work in Guardians of the Galaxy) I hope we see some cameos from the original cast...I know it hasn't been confirmed but I'm still waiting for a small surprise

Dumb and Dumber To - Review

Image
After a long wait of 20 years and thinking this movie was never going to be made. The sequel of the original Dumb and Dumber and one of the funniest comedies ever made joining, once again, the great Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. I really never expected they were going to shoot this film; Jeff Daniels didn't have a problem to make it but Jim Carrey wasn't so sure as he never likes to do sequels but, after a huge paycheck, it seems like he changed his mind. Set twenty years after the events from the first film, Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) has been in a mental hospital for this entire time only but to make a joke to his friend Harry Dunne (Daniels) who has a medical disease and finds out he has a daughter. After seeing her pictore, Lloyd falls in love deeply with her and convinces his dummy friend to travel across country to find her. As you can see, the plot is very deep and confusing but we don't care about the story of the film but the change to see these two men t

Doctor Who - Series 8 Review

Image
Series 8 has ended with a bang! I was a huge fan of David Tennant and I tought nobody could be better than him as the Doctor but I was wrong. Peter Capaldi has exceed my expectations becoming the best and my personal favourite Doctor ever! Maybe some of the episodes weren't that exciting but with him in each one of them is enough reason to watch them!  I already did a review from the first episodes but I'll paste them here so it's the full series... here we go! Episode 1 : Deep Breath  The first one, Capaldi's debut, while the plot is nothing that we haven't seen (Ok, maybe the dinosaur bit is new), it is still a great episode and the acting from the new Doctor is just speechless...you can read the entire review at this link: Deep Breath - Review 8.6 / 10 Episode 2 : Into the Dalek The Doctor is called to a space station where they fix and cure different kind of aliens but this time they've got something unusual...a Dalek! It has b

Doctor Who - Death in Heaven Review

Image
RATED "S" FOR SOME-SUPER-SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. The second part and finale for the eight season of Doctor Who just came. I can't believe it, it was yesterday when they released "Deep Breath" and now this season just ended! The episode follows up right after the events of "Dark Water", Missy is revealed as The Master and she's the one who's controlling the Cybermen to dominate the planet but they're interrupted by UNIT and capture Missy and the Doctor with sleeping darts. Meanwhile, Clara has its own problems, she's trying to convice some cybermen that she's actually the Doctor and the person known as Clara Oswald has never existed, then we see how the death bodies from all over the world start being upgrated to Cybermen, including Danny Pink's. Back to the Doctor's plot, he's taken in an airplane with Missy as a prisioner and that's where he discovers he has been promoted as "The President of the

Star Wars Episode VII Title Revealed

Image
It has been a long time and we still have to wait until December 2015 but, at least, we have the official title. Maybe I was expecting something more extraordinary and amazing but this new title just got me surprised...in the wrong way. The movie will be the follow-up after the events of Chapter VI (of course) and we'll see some new faces plus the old favourite ones like Han Solo, Chewbacca Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. We still don't know anything about the plot or the new characters but I'm really excited to see the old cast together one more time in a high quality sci-fi movie (I hope...) The title sounds like a video game but it's actually the one for the upcoming film. This is not a joke, you can check on the internet if you don't trust me.  For the record, the answer is no, they didn't forget about the "Episode VII" stuff, they just aren't going to put it (and that's one of the things that pisses me off) Just the title...forget a

Doctor Who : Dark Water - Review

Image
RATED "S" FOR SPOILERS - Read at your own risk! What a thrill! Well, I was almost sure about who Missy was since I first saw her back in Deep Breath; first I thought she was a future version of Clara but I wasn't so sure about it because of, obviously, somethings that didn't fit. Then my other option was to be the Master and I was right after all...I think it was the most obvious question as I remember, back then before Capaldi was cast as the Doctor, they were talking about the possibility of having the first female reincarnation. It would have been a risky move for the Doctor but having the Master as a female now looks great, and what a great choice to cast Michelle Rodriguez! The episode begins with a bang, literally, Danny Pink gets hit by a car and dies. We see Clara devastated and trying to do anything to have him back. She even menaces the Doctor to go to the past and save him but she gets a repetitive "No" from him. But that doesn't mean

Marvel's Phase 3 Revealed!

Image
This may be old news but I wanted to post this so bad in my blog because of the excitement I have to watch all those movies. Once "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is released, Phase 2 will be over and then the 3rd part will begin. It looks like it's going to be quite awesome with third parts and the beginning of brand-new franchises! A small list about all of them (in order of the release date) SUPER-SPOILERS FROM HERE! Captain America: Civil War  (6th May 2016) This will mark the beginning of Phase 3 and the Civil War that will begin (I think) at the end of "Age of Ultron".  The story is about the Superhero Registration Act, a legislative bill brought in to keep track of super-powered individuals, while Iron Man is all for it, the Cap will be against it violently. The film will be an Iron Man versus Captain America, ending with the death of Captain in the hands of Tony Stark. That may be a point to finish the character and put a new one in the cloth
