RIP Harold Ramis

Image
This are very sad news...Harold Ramis, known from works in Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day passed away today at 69 years old. I never met him but he looked like a very nice person, he was a great actor, director and writer, I always smiled when I saw him appearing in a film saying "Look, that's Harold Ramis from Ghostbusters!" I was a kid when Ghostbusters came out and I loved it (I still do) along with all the amazing and funny principal actors, he was one of my favorite characters from that infamous movie, playing as the too serious yet funny Egon, along with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd ...I'm going to miss him... Lightning Returns : Final Fantasy XIII - Review

Image
Lightning final chapter is finally here after a total of four years! Small Spoilers (nothing about the ending), read at your own risk! It has been a total of four years with Final Fantasy XIII and its sequels...now it's time to say good-bye to Lightning and her friends with this ending worth it if you enjoyed this saga as much as I did. Before I start, let me say I have played almost every Final Fantasy ever done and I've enjoyed this thirteen episode more than any other. My notes to the two previous installments after the update I made for every game I reviewed are: Final Fantasy XIII (9.6/10) and Final Fantasy XIII-2 (9.3/10). Set after 500 years after the events of FFXIII-2, Lightning is awaken by God himself and asks her to complete the last mission, she must save every soul she can in the planet in order to destroy the world and put all the people in a new world. You only have 13 days until the end of the world and you must save every one you can before that final c

The Lego Movie - Review

Image
This movie has been a great surprise...after watching the trailers I was thinking it was another simple animated film but I was wrong, this movie has a great heart. Plot: An ordinary LEGO figure called Emmet is mistaken to be the extraordinary "MasterBuilder", the savior from an old prophecy that says he will be the one saving the universe. After reuniting with a few friends like Batman, WyldStyle and Vitruvius, they will go to a journey to stop the great villain, Lord Business. Spaceman, Vitruvius and, one of my faves from the film, Unikitty! The movie is made entirely of LEGO pieces and is a mix between stop-motion and CGI effects, it's done excellently and in a very funny way. You will even see and hear some jokes that will remember to your childhood when you played with those amazing and little yellow figures. And this is what this film is about, everybody sees it as another animated movie for children and it has been done for kids to enjoy it but the ones who

Guardians of the Galaxy

After too many news and just one image about the film, the official trailer has come! The film will be released this summer and I have to say it looks like it will be the Summer's Hit this year. But there's one thing that worries me, the trailer looks awesome and everything but it has too much comedy scenes, I hope the entire film isn't like that and gets a more serious tone with a few comedy parts (like they have done with all Marvel movies). Here's the trailer, at least a movie that looks like it's going to be good!

Saving Mr. Banks - Review

Image
The acting is great but the winner is Emma Thompson without doubt! If you love the famous Disney's classic "Mary Poppins", you must watch this movie as it shows you the way it was made and the feelings the writer P.L. Travers had with the making of his book as a movie by Walt Disney himself. Official Plot: When Walt Disney's daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers' Mary Poppins (1964), he made them a promise - one that he didn't realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney's plans for the adaptation. For those two short weeks in 1961, Walt Disney pulls out all the stops. Armed with imaginative storyboards and chi
