Super 8

Image
::SUPER 8 REVIEW:: At last, I've had some extra time to watch this new J.J. Abrams film, people in the web say this movie is like putting together "Cloverfield" (a good movie) and ET (a classic) and they are...right. The story is by far more interestinf than ET but the "sometimes" invisible monster/alien is not as amazing as the Cloverfield one. The main actors are kids, so don't expect them to be great but surprisingly they are quite good. Those kids want to make a movie and they record "by mistake" a train accident were something was inside it. I have to say that this scene in particular is awesome, the way the train crashes and is destroyed piece by piece...amazing! It's a good movie to watch but don't expect a future classic, I am still waiting for Cloverfield 2... The Best: A very intriguing story, the "action" scenes are great The Worst: The monster could have been...prettier... RATING: 7.5/10

Just For You - Part II

You know who you are...and this is for you...while writting this the other day (shorter than before), in my mind an image of your face appeared. All this rainy night waiting to get home, At the same time not wanting to arrive, Knowing you are not going to be there, Always feeling alone anywhere, Waiting for the tomorrow to come, So I can see your face again, As I see it right now in my head, And as I feel it right now in my heart, Remembering how long I was searching, And never finding that feeling no one has ever found, Until the day I saw you I knew what I was missing, Today, just to be with you, I'd take the earth down, Never lose that bright in your eyes, That's the thing that keeps me living, Even if I have to wait forever, A lonely angel has to wait for his lonely angel. A Potato Story

Image
Once upon a time, there was a god/goddess/king/queen that created a city in an empty planet...there he/she created potatoes to life together and develope creating new families and taking care of the planet; to do that the "creator" gave them lemons to help them. The first years was all going good with no problems...even sometimes the creator went to that city he/she created to salute the potatoes and try to help them in problems more complicated to resolve with the lemons, he/she never asked anything for change, only to be good with him/her and good with each other. But then, one day a new specie appeared without notice; the bananas, they believed they were better than the potatoes so they started ruling the city and chancing everything for their profit. The creator went to the city to try fix the problem and so the potatoes and bananas could live together in peace but the bananas were so "bananas" that they kicked him/her out of his/her own creation. The bananas

Bon Jovi Open Air

Image
Last week I was able to go see live one of the greatest bands in the world. Bon Jovi has been one of my top 5 favourite singers ever and the 3 hour concert was way worth it! I usually don't speak about concerts here but I have to say about this one because was too good to shut up. It was my first Bon Jovi concert and I had three chances to see them but always missed, this one was a "now or never" time. He sang the great greatest hits and a few surprises (In the middle of Bad Medicine, he started singing the U2's hit Vertigo), also all my faves songs like Keep the Faith, It's my Life, Have a Nice Day, Born to be my Baby, Dead or Alive...Just an awesome concert, I will repeat again!! Now about talking about concerts, let's do my Top 5 List of Greatest Concerts that I've Been: 1. Kylie X 2008 Tour (Kylie Minogue) 2. Death Magnetic World Tour (Metallica) 3. Open Air (Bon Jovi) 4. American Idiot World Tour (Green Day) 5. 360ยบ World Tour (U2)

Captain America Review

Captain America: The First Avenger The Captain has been one of my favourites super-heroes since I was a kid, I was waiting for this movie, as well as I'm waiting for a Flash film. And, well, let's be honest here, I was expecting to see Captain America and that's what I got...don't expect this to be a Dark Knight or Iron Man film, this is not the same, but still it's not bad. Maybe the best of the film is Hugo Weaving as the bad guy, Red Skull, he's great doing any kind of character but especially a bad guy. Chris Evans as the American Captain (see what I did there?) is good...it's not a hard character to play, except for holding the amazing and gorgeous shield. Tommy Lee Jones, I think you all know him quite well, does as always, a serious perfomance with a few comic lines, but still great. Maybe what I didn't like about the film is the ending...it's too fast and you want to see more, because that's when it gets interesting...we'll have to
