Doctor Who Update

Image
The new season for Doctor Who started filming a couple of weeks ago and there have been lots of pictures from the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi, and his companion, Jenna Coleman. Those pics may contain spoilers so I prefer not to see them but the BBC has released the first official photoshoot of Mr. Capaldi with the clothes the new Doctor is going to wear. While some people will find it "boring" comparing it to the last Doctors, I have to admit I like it, it doesn't have a scarf or a bowtie, it's just a rebel suit, which I think its perfect for this new era of Doctor Who! It remembers a little bit to the Third Doctor and a magician from the 80's but, as I said before, it suits him quite good! I love the coat (which looks too similar to mine) and those shoes!

Sherlock Season 3 - Review

Image
This season was the weakest from all three but it has a stronger ending than the first season. Maybe it's because of the two year wait and the speculations of Sherlock's fall, that made it a disappointing start for this season as the answer to the long awaited question was too easy and simple as it seems the theory Sherlock explains to Anderson at the end of "The Empty Hearse" was the real one that happened. The season followed up by a a comedy episode involving two unsolved cases and a speech at Watson's wedding, it was a nice and funny one but it was far away from the old episodes filled with interesting and difficult cases. These two episodes had very easy cases anyone could solve in the first minutes. Then there was the finale involving a new nemesis for the detective who uses similar techniques like reading people and the infamous "Mind Palace" to blackmail people, Mr. Magnussen was a worth villian who had so little screen time an only one episo

Sherlock: His Last Vow - Review

Image
Spoilers? Of course there are! Magnussen and Sherlock use the same mind techniques for their own purposes Sherlock has to fight against his most powerful enemy, Charles Augustus Magnussen, the owner of different newspapers and an expert at blackmailing. He had numerous meetings with the Prime Minister and, after he blackmails one of the members of the inquiry board, he starts being investigated by Sherlock Holmes, who has been missing for one month and reappears at a drug house saying he was "undercover". Once John finds him there, he discovers something no one could have ever expected, Sherlock has a girlfriend. The lucky woman is Janine and, while no one could understand that change of thinking in the detective (even John Watson doesn't know what to think), we feel better once we discover Janine is Magnussen personal assistant and it was just a way to get to his personal office. But everything turns upside down when Sherlock sees a person trying to kill the &quo

Frozen's Let it Go Multi-Language

Image
This is old news but Frozen has been nominated at the Academy Awards this year for best animated film and best original song...maybe that's the reason Disney made this video. It's worth watching, you can hear the amazing song "Let it Go" in 25 different languages in the same scene of video!

Nice Photos...

Image
Just saw these two pictures and wanted to share them... The first one is a nice surprise to see two Sherlock Holmes together at last, here they are Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch! Also, a nice picture of the infamous Anna Moleva (a russian cosplayer) dressed as the beautiful Elizabeth while playing the game itself, Bioshock Infinte!

Frozen Nominations

Image
I just want to congratulate the staff of "Frozen" for its two nominations at the Academy Awards of this year. The film has been nominated for "Best Animated Picture" and "Best Original Song" Let it Go (sung beautifuly by Idina Menzel)...I really wish you the best luck as you deserve to win both!! About the other nominations? Nothing special to say...really expected... Yes, I changed the picture, this one looks more apropiate! Sorry, but I have to post this picture...found it on  Deviantart  and it looks amazing, so realistic and sad...

Sherlock: The Sign of Three - Review

Image
Spoilers? Of course there are! This episode is nothing like the other ones from any seasons (including The Empty Hearse) but while I was afraid I was going to be disappointed in this change of wind I actually found it funny and interesting to watch. The drunk scene was by far the funniest thing ever in Sherlock! Sherlock gets his worst case of all, become the best man at John Watson's weeding, what could possibly go wrong? While he tries to make the perfect speech with some funny and touching moments, he then explains two of his unsolved cases that will become connected somehow. The first one is about the attempted murder in a "locked room" of a guardsman who asked Sherlock for help, after he infliltrates and discovers the crime, Sherlock doesn't know how the murderer did it, saying it's the most difficult locked room case he has ever had. Then he starts explaining another case involving women who date a person who steals identities from deceased people.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII - Preview

Image
All characters from the two previous instalments will be back! The third and final chapter of Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII is coming out worldwide in almost a month. The first game was highly criticised by its linear and constant gameplay and not a change for exploring. Then the second game came fixing those issues but adding a low score about the story and the ending of the game. No one could believe it but Square-Enix confirmed in September 2012 they started making the last game to close Lightning's story and, finally, have a happy ending for all characters.  If you're part of that percent of people who hated the first entry, you don't have to worry about this one as it doesn't look anything like it. Final Fantasy XIII-3 (also known as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII) has a non-linear gameplay with lots of things and places to go out and explore. This time you'll control only one character (guess who?) and the fights have become faster and harder

Personal Opinion about "The Empty Hearse"

Image
I did the review of the first episode of Sherlock in my last post but I want to extend it a little more with my opinion about the so long waited "resurrection" of the great detective. Spoilers, obviously... After two years of thinking how Sherlock faked his death so perfectly I'm quite disappointed in how they did it...it's obvious the three theories they explained in the episode are not the real one he did to survive the fall but I can't stop thinking that they (the writers) didn't know how to do it or which one to use as the official one. There has been lots of different theories, some of them were very imaginative while some others were just stupid but I want to share that the ones that appeared in the episode were the first ones I thought, here I explain them: I admit it, I still enjoyed the episode a lot!! The first one I believed most is the one Sherlock explains to Anderson, that was my first theory two years ago after watching "The Reich

Sherlock: The Empty Hearse - Review

Image
After two years since Sherlock faked his death and left our hearts empty and our minds doubted, he's back...was it worth it the wait? I'm still not sure. This new episode starts with a version of Sherlock's fake fall explained by Anderson, who feels guilty after what happened to him and wants to think he's alive, that explanation was in the internet a few hours after the "Reichenbach Fall" was released but it looks way too surreal but, as Sherlock says himself in this new episode, there are 14 different ways he could have done it...and we get only three for now but still not sure if some of those are the real one. At the end of this episode, Sherlock explains how he did it to Anderson and, while its the most convicing and realistic, he still doesn't believe him as well as the viewers. So we may have to wait a little more to know the truth altrought it may never be known... Sherlock with a painted moustache...yes, it is that funny! It starts two yea
