Dead or Alive 5 - Review
I've played all Dead or Alive games and I can asure this is the best from all. It starts two years after the ending of the fourth game and the story follows a new tournament Helena (the new Doatec president) wants to make. The story mode in this game is far different from the other games even other fighting games. Kasumi is still looking for her clone named Alpha.
All characters look different as the graphics here have improved a lot and they look more realistic and hath means better. You will see all of them different in a way or another; even the english voices have imrpoved in a positive way.
My favourite character from the series has been always Christie and I'm very, very happy to see how great she looks and how has become an important point in the story!
The places to fight are now even more interactive, they look so real it feels like you're in there as well. You can now see the characters sweat and dirty with sand or rocks.
There are two new characters plus another two from the Virtua Fighter games; those two news are a nice add to the series.
The movements look better and more solid; there are new elements like critical moves and even-more special movements than make the other character have more "pain", as in the previous games, you can use the elements of the stages to take out more live points.
I haven't used the online features but they said its very nice to use and you can get more experience points.
It's the best from the series, everytime you play the "arcade" or timeranking you get a new costume for your character (there are more than five to choose). It's enjoyable and fun to play, but it may get too familiar in a while as it has the same attacks and mechanics.
UPCOMING GAMES = Dishonored (2012) - Assassin's Creed III (2012) - Bioshock Infinite (2013) - Tomb Raider (2013) - Lightning Returns (2013)
Christie is one of the best-looking chaarcters from the game! |
