Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi - Review

Image
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE VI RETURN OF THE JEDI This film marks the ending of the current story of Star Wars, the final fight against the Empire, maybe is not as amazing as the other films, but the fnal fight of Vader versus Luke (again) is worth it to watch and see the real potential of Luke as a great Master Jedi. Plot: " After rescuing Han Solo from the palace of Jabba the Hutt, the Rebels attempt to destroy the Second Death Star, while Luke Skywalker tries to bring his father back to the Light Side of the Force. " Last fight is amazing and very impressive!! This is the final "star war" the rebels will fight against the second "still in construction" Death Star while Luke tries everything to bring Darth Vader to the good side. The only problem in this film is the part that happens on planet of the ewoks (The Forest Moon of Endor)...they appear a long time and it looks a little childish the scenes where...

Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back - Review

Image
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE V THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK This was an instant classic thanks to many plot-twists at the end and the amazing and known-by-everyone surprise of the real identity of Darth Vader! Plot: " As Luke trains with Master Yoda to become a Jedi Knight, his friends evade the Imperial fleet under the command of Darth Vader who is obsessed with turning Skywalker to the Dark Side of the Force. " MOST EPIC BATTLE EVER! The plot is the best one from the entire saga and it appears many iconic characters and unforgettable scenes like the Cloud city, first apperance of Yoda as the Master Jedi and Darth Sidious as the Master Sith. Also the scene where Han Solo gets frozen and where you see the real feelings Leia has from him. Mark Hamill as Luke plays it greatly at the scenes of Jedi training with puppet-Yoda. The final fight against Darth Vader is greatly done filled with anger, that's the best scene on this film. Anot...

Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope - Review

Image
A long time a go in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE IV A NEW HOPE The first film of Star Wars released in 1977 was a big surprise for many people and an inspiration for the next films to come...it's a classic and hard to find someone doesn't know it...This is the first film of the old trilogy, the best one from both! The main protagonist here is Luke Skywalker, a young boy who knows there's something else in the universe, a boy who never met his real parents and lives with an empty place inside him he's looking to fullfil. The actor here Mark Hamill plays it greatly in this film and in the other ones as well, he's a great main character and a likely one, in my personal opinion, my favourte character from the entire saga... Just one word: EPIC Plot: Luke Skywalker, a spirited farm boy, joins rebel forces to save Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader, and the galaxy from the Empire's planet-destroying Death Star.   Simple and easy to und...

Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - Review

Image
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE III REVENGE OF THE SITH The last film ever made of Star Wars...it ends with a bang! Plot easy about a war, lies, dark side, bad choices, death, ...but interesting until the very end as here we see the birth of Darth Vader and the vanish of Anakin turned to the dark side: " After three years of fighting in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker falls prey to the Sith Lord's lies and makes an enemy of the Jedi and those he loves, concluding his journey to the Dark Side. " In the film, Skywalker has a dream of her wife, Padme, dying while giving birth; he doesn't want that dream to come true as it happened with his mother in the Episode II so he seeks advice from everyone he knows until Palpatine gives him the words to join the Dark Side in order to save her life...and he does betraying the Jedis by killing all of them one by one. SPOILERS!: Only two of them survive to this massacre (Obi-Wan and Yoda) and th...

Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones - Review

Image
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE II ATTACK OF THE CLONES The second part of the story, a lot better than the first but not that awesome as the third. Here we see an Anakin in his 20 years old (more or less) and still in love with Padmé Amilada and still missing his mother who has been captured and with the Jedi Council against him...can something else go wrong with him? But still he doesn't look that stressed in this film (at least on this one), we only see a wish of revenge after a fury attack, the actor doesn't play it that bad but he doesn't have that angry feeling like in the next film. Here we see an older and wiser Obi-Wan Kenobi where you can see his experience teaching young Skywaler about what's right and what's wrong, he looks and sounds like the perfect Jedi master that he is.  The plot is very interesting:  Ten years later, Anakin Skywalker shares a forbidden romance with Padmé, while Obi-Wan investigates an assassina...

Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace - Review

Image
Now that the new movie has been released, before the review of "The Force Awakens", let's see a little about the past films... A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... EPISODE I THE PHANTOM MENACE Two Master Jedi VS One Double-Lightsaber Sith...EPIC! The first film from the prequel trilogy, it describes the start of Obi Wan Kenobi being a Jedi Master for the first time as well as watching him being a padawan with his amazing mentor Qui Gon Jinn. But the most important part of the film is the first apperance of Anakin Skywalker as a child, no-one could ever imagine that young boy was going to become Darth Vader... the main villian Darth Maul is very mysterious and powerful, a good choice. The plot is very simple but that doesn't mean it's a bad film, it's far better than other films: Two Jedi Knights escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface...

New Trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake

Image
They promised us something new about the highly acclaimed remake for Final Fantasy VII. It was today, at the PlayStation Experience where they showed us a new trailer with gameplay and the new battle system, which is very similar to the upcoming FFXV... We get to see the first look at Cloud's high definition face which is very well done. It looks like a mix from his appearance in Advent Children and his look at the original game. We also see Barret who looks tougher than ever wearing some sunglasses (still don't know why, maybe his eyes are too small...). The gameplay kinda reminds me to Final Fantasy XV but, for now, I don't see much freedom on it but still too soon to talk about it. Graphics are awesome and the soundtrack sounds like a remastered version from the original, which I hope they keep it like that! Enjoy the trailer!

Doctor Who - Heaven Sent Review

The Veil is a creature from the worst dreams of the Doctor's past who wants to discover all the Doctor's secrets without lies, that's when you realize he's actually inside his confession dial and everytime he sees this creature, he must confess something. But some secrets are meant forever and the Doctor won't reveal them. This secret may be something about the Hybrid, a creature who's said to be half Time Lord, half Dalek that will be t...

Doctor Who - Series 9 Review "Updated"

Series 9 is becoming one of the strongest seasons in Doctor Who I have seen. Thanks to the great performances of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald, the show keeps going strong. With only 3 more episodes left plus the Christmas Special.
