Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace - Review

Now that the new movie has been released, before the review of "The Force Awakens", let's see a little about the past films...

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

EPISODE I
THE PHANTOM MENACE

Two Master Jedi VS One Double-Lightsaber Sith...EPIC!
The first film from the prequel trilogy, it describes the start of Obi Wan Kenobi being a Jedi Master for the first time as well as watching him being a padawan with his amazing mentor Qui Gon Jinn. But the most important part of the film is the first apperance of Anakin Skywalker as a child, no-one could ever imagine that young boy was going to become Darth Vader... the main villian Darth Maul is very mysterious and powerful, a good choice.

The plot is very simple but that doesn't mean it's a bad film, it's far better than other films: Two Jedi Knights escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to reclaim their old glory.

This is a soft start for the new trilogy if you compare it to the other films but it's quite good as you can see something from the mentor of Obi-Wan; he's a great character and the actor Liam Neeson plays it greatly! It's a shame he doesn't appear in more films.
The  young version of Anakin is very well done, some people don't like him, but why? he's just a little boy, he hasn't grow up yet! And about Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Ewan McGregor, all I have to say that he's the best from the new trilogy, he did a great job in all the films!

· What I liked most: The main duo by Obi Wan and Qui Gon Jinn. - The race was quite amazing - The final fight against Darth Maul was epic!

· What I didn't like: Plot too political and so many things about senate - Missing some Star Wars magic - Anakin's young version wasn't that good...
