Thor The Dark World - Review
Thor is back after the New York battle and while "The Dark World" is not as exciting as the Avengers, I can confirm this one is better than the first one in every aspect from action to comedy.
This film tells the tale of a dark elf called Malekith (played greatly but former Doctor Who Christopher Eccleston) who will do anything to find the Ether, a substance he wants to use to conquer all reigns and fill them with darkness. After he wakes again, he will go to Asgard to find it and destroy the city, after that Thor will have no option but ask Loki for help.
The plot is more interesting than the first film plus they show us more places from Asgard and an intense fight in the same city. The special effects are the same as always (that's not a bad thing) and the soundtrack is quite better than other films, I really enjoyed some songs. The action and fight scenes are entertaining and fun to watch plus the comedy parts are a good laugh.
The acting is excellent, I'd say its better than the last film. Chris Hemsworth does a good job acting as the God of Thunder and Rene Russo plus Anthony Hopkins are great secondary as his family. But the highlights and best scenes are from Loki played perfectly by Tom Hiddleston, he shines in every scene he appears and does an even better job that the last two films he has done as Loki, if he wasn't in this film it wouldn't be that good as you can't expect how he will react or what he will do. Natalie Portman also does a great job as Jane Foster (name easy to remember!) even better than the first Thor film.
What it's quite obvious is this film is going to be followed by other ones where Thor doesn't appear like "Guardians of the Galaxy", "Ant-Man" and even the next Avengers film...it's going to be a long road...
There's a small Spoiler following......in the scene where Loki acts in a very funny way and changes his appearance to look like Captain America (and Chris Evan appears as the Capt.) is the funniest I've seen in a long time! End of Spoilers.
· BEST - Tom Hiddleston as Loki steals the movie in every scene he appears. The entire cast is amazing!
· WORST - Malekith is not a great and interesting villain, you kinda miss Loki acting as a bad-ass villain.
1. Star Trek Into Darkness (9.5)
2. Iron Man 3 (8.7)
3. Thor: The Dark World (8.5)
