Burial at Sea - Episode One : Review
It's not the last we hear of Bioshock Infinite...this is the first part of a bran-new story starring our old friend Booker and Miss Elizabeth.
This DLC starts in the last day of year 1958 in Rapture, the amazing city underwater from the original Bioshock but there's something different, the riots when the city falls under a civil war between Atlas and Andrew Ryan so everything in the city is like the way it was before that filled with people living their routine. And then, Booker appears there having the same detective office as the main game (this is answered at the ending) but the best is when Elizabeth appears as a female fatale who is looking for a lost child. The opening and the first part of the game is very noir style.
The first part is very quiet and relaxing, you can explore a part of Rapture, visiting its stores and watching how Liz distracts people so you can get into private areas...the main character here is her as she is more mysterious than ever, she always looks at you in a angry-way (once you see the ending, you'll understand why) and then the ending is even more confusing as it changes the original and already weird ending from the original game.
The gameplay is a mix from the original game of Rapture and Bioshock Infinite, EVE is back, the little sisters are back (somehow) and (SPOILERS!!!!!) I want to confirm that the Bid Daddy (Mr. Bubbles) is also back and you have to even fight him (END OF SPOILERS!!)
Maybe the bad thing of this new piece of the game is that it feels too short, only 2 hours if you rush and 4 hours if you do everything but the story, the chance to go back to Rapture and the amazing new ending are enough reasons to play it and wait for the next Episode!
· GRAPHICS (9.5) - Amazing graphics and excellent design of Rapture!! Elizabeth looks as good as always!
· SOUND (10) - Great old and jazz music and amazing voices!
· GAMEPLAY (9) - Great and fun as always but it feels short and the ending is too fast.
· STORY (9.5) - It's very interesing to hear and see all the back stories before the fall of Rapture and the ending only excites me more to see what's next for Episode 2!!
