Final Fantasy XV - Preview

After eight years of development, the game known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and changed to the next main game numbering it XV is showing signs of life. A brand new world with a brand new lot of characters in a more realistic atmosphere with even more intense battles that reminds me to the good old "Kingdom Hearts", this game looks like it's going to bring back a lot of fans that got away after the bad critics about Final Fantasy XIII (which I don't understand at all, it was a fun game to play).
The fights look way more difficult and faster than ever!

The graphics look spectacular and very, very realistic with the same Final Fantasy parts of amazing cities, magic and gigantic monsters. Talking about big foes, this game looks like it's going to have the biggest and hardest to beat, they say it will take 15 hours to win!
Also about the gameplay which looks fun to play in a, what it looks like a huge open world where you can go anywhere the map shows (like old Final's like VII and VIII) but instead of an airship, we've got a car this time...they say camping will be important in this game, I'm really looking foward to it.

Now about the characters, they are the same ones we have seen during the last trailers but there are some new faces like the new blonde girl called simply Luna (Moon in spanish) who looks beautiful and it remembers like she's going to be the type of Aerith, Rinoa and Yuna. But there's something I'm quite worried about...the main playable characters we are seeing lately are men, they haven't show any gameplay controlling a woman and that will be new in a Final Fantasy as there has been always playable women in these games...I really hope they change that, it is not a big issue but still...

There has been two different new trailers this month showing us the new aspect of FFXV after the
The new girl from the game, Luna, do you think
we'll be able to play with her?
long-time director from the game Tetsuya Nomura left the project to focus more in the upcoming sequel "Kingdom Hearts III" (a game I'm also dying to play) and the new director from the highly rated Final Fantasy Type-0, Hajime Tabata, is on duty now trying the best he can to save this franchise. He also said he's trying to bring back those fans who left and to make this game a casual one that may renovate the saga.

Another detail of last minute is about the length of the game; for now they said the main campaign will last around 40 hours without the extra missions and exploring the huge map of the game (that's what they say, not me). These are great news meaning we'll have hours and hours of fun gameplay, now let's hope it's an interesting one to play so long...

This game has been under development for eight long years and, while Square-Enix says it's around 55% completed and it will take less than two years to be released from now, I'm a little worried if it won't be as good as it looks. Games that take that long use to disappoint once they're released, I really hope this doesn't happen.

So, for now, the game looks awesome, even better than it looked a few years ago, the new elements of gameplay and the fighting style of "Kindgom Hearts" are just positive points, but we'll have to wait if everything fits good together.
We'll have a glimpse of the game in March 2015 when Final Fantasy Type 0 HD hits the stores for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, if you buy that game it will include a brand new demo of the awaited Final Fantasy XV called "Episode Duscae" that will be 3 to 4 hours long, I'm sure most people will buy this game just for the demo but I won't, I actually want to try Type 0. Then we'll get something from it and I really hope I love it!

Amazing and great landspaces as always, this looks promising!
