Doctor Who Series 8 - So Far so Great!
Doctor Who is back, I already said that in the review of "Deep Breath" but he keeps coming back every weekend and I cannout help it but to keep watching and, some of the episodes, watching them again because of its amazing plot stories and the best Doctor I could ask.
Peter Capaldi has prove to be born to be the Doctor. He's being the most enjoyable Doctor since David Tennant and that's saying a lot. I have been a Tennant fan since but now I have to change to Capaldi (sorry Mr. Tennant, you're now the top 2!). It has been a long time since I was waiting for the day to watch the new episode.
The series is still going, there has been just six episodes and another six episode left until the end so I'm going to review them each one of them that has been done so far...
The Doctor is called to a space station where they fix and cure different kind of aliens but this time they've got something unusual...a Dalek! It has been so damaged it has become good repeating "Daleks must be exterminated!". The Doctor thinks it's so impossible his enemy has become good that he tries to help him entering inside the Dalek where they find out, after fixing it, it was just a computer error that made him good and after that he calls a Dalek army to try defeat the humans.
Quote of the episode: "You looked inside me and you saw hatred. That's no victory. Victory would've been a good Dalek."
·What I liked: The change to see a Dalek from the inside and how a good one is possible. I really liked the Doctor in here as it's still a little confused after the regeneration but still tries his best to become the Dalek a good one again!
· What I didn't liked: The plot too simple and it is not a so fascinating adventure for the new Doctor, the Daleks are being over used too much.
The Doctor and Clara wake up with two other people sitting around a table and a message from a man who calls himself "The Arquitect" tells them they have agreed to robe the most secure bank in the universe. They just were beaten with the memory worm and forgot why they agreed to that. They must discover the truth and what's the bank hidding by fighting a horrible new monster that can read anyone's minds. The truth behind all this mistery gets solved with a huge final twist.
Quote of the episode: "Of course not, Boss. Robbin' a bank. Robbin' a whole bank. Beat that for a date."
· What I liked: The final twist was amazing and somehow unexpected. The entire episodeis very entertaining and makes you wanna watch it until the end to see how they robe the bank!
· What I didn't liked: The design of that monster, you'll know why once you see it...
The Doctor has a new mission to save the world (one more time) but he wants to do it alone and tells Clara to pass this adventure. Then her surprise face appears when she sees the Doctor claiming to be the new caretaker of the school where she's a teacher (I'm John Smith, but you can call me the Doctor). While he acts like he's a real caretaker, he's actually setting a trap for an alien/robot that's killing people and hiding in the shadows. At the same time, he's spying Clara and tries to discover who her new boyfriend (Mr. Pink) might be. This is the funniest episode of all since I remember!
Quote of the episode: "How can you think that I'm her dad when we both look exactly the same age" and "Good to see you, now get lost."
· What I liked: The funny parts of the episode plus seeing a funnier side of this new Doctor making me like him even more than before! The entire plot of the killer robot and setting the trap is impressive.
· What I didn't liked: Actually, I loved every bit of it!

Episode 1 : Deep Breath
The first one, Capaldi's debut, while the plot is nothing that we haven't seen (Ok, maybe the dinosaur bit is new), it is still a great episode and the acting from the new Doctor is just speechless...you can read the entire review I did just three posts below!

Episode 3 : Robot of Sheerwood
The Doctor asks Clara who she would like to meet from the history but the Doctor is not okay with her answer. Going to the middle ages at the Forests of Sheerwood where the legendary Robin Hood was suposed to live...the Doctor disagrees claiming Robin Hood was just a legend and not real but they meet someone who looks and acts a lot like him. The Doctor tries everything to make Clara understand it is just a coincidence but they discover a plot from some aliens while a new kind of robots kidnapp them.
Quote of the episode: "No castles, no damsels in distress, no such thing as Robin Hood!"
· What I liked: The entire Doctor vs. Robin Hood, their arguments and fights including the amazing and funny competition with arrows. The bad guy is also quite good but he doesn't have a much important role, shame...
· What I didn't liked: This episode was funny to watch but nothing interesting or special about it, it doesn't add anything to rest of the season plot...

Episode 4 : Listen
The best episode from 8th season so far! After a scary moment while being alone in the Tardis, the Doctor remembers something from his childhood and tries to solve the msytery of the same nightmare every person in the universe has, at least, once in their lives. Explained by the Doctor himself: "You wake up, or you think you do, and there’s someone in the dark, someone close, or you think there might be. So you sit up, turn on the light, and the room looks different at night. It ticks and creaks and breathes. And you tell yourself there’s nobody there, nobody watching, nobody listening. Nobody there at all … and you very nearly believe it. You really, really try. And then … " They go to Clara's past (or at least, he thinks) and investigate from the past of Mr. Pink (Clara's new "boyfriend") to the past of the Doctor himself discovering a curious thing about this horror plot.
Quote of the episode: Too many good ones, but to choose just one: "Question, why do we talk out loud even when we know we're alone. Conjecture, because we know we're not."
· What I liked: The mistery of this old nightmare, the Doctor surprises me once again with his selfish persona claiming "I don't take orders". Also discovering the Doctor's childhood for the first ime ever in this show was very unexpected.
· What I didn't like: The episode was amazing but to point out something, Clara's getting to much main role now, even more than the Doctor...
