Batman: Arkham Origins - Review
After a long, long time (almost eight months!) here it is, another videogame review!
Why haven't I posted anyone of those until now? Because I haven't played any game that good to put it in here (sorry but I don't like GTA V, it's the same boring missions and stuff as always)...well, maybe I forgot to put Rayman Legends review here because that game is fun and very re-playable!
Black Mask, a villain from Batman Universe, offers fifty millions to the assassin who kills Batman, this is the plot, it's simple yet very interesting...I'm not going to say anything but I like it even more than the last two games. You will see familiar faces and new ones only a few years younger as this game takes place with a very amateur Batman but way more aggressive and I liked that!
I have to say that the face I wanted to see was the Joker's, he's younger, crazier and more realistic than ever, he has an important part in the plot of the game (not spoiling!) but you may see something new about him..maybe I should say hear something new about him because the actor who was his voice all this time, Mark Hammill, retired himself after doing City so they looked for a new voice and found Troy Baker who has done an impressive job, he's the new Joker without doubt! They also changed Batman's voice (Kevin Conroy) but I can't see the difference that much.
Arkham Origins returns to the universe of the last two games but not to Arkham Asylum because, it seems like it doesn't exist yet but we have the same city from the last game plus a huge and long bridge that connects to the new area of the city. All is the same but the only difference is that it's not a prison anymore but you will still see an empty city filled with criminals.
The gameplay is the same as the other games, yes, the same, nothing changes and that's the main reason why it has so many low ratings because it doesn't change a thing in the way you play the game but...I think that's a good thing, if it was perfect already in the last game, why do you want to change it? That's the main reason I'm not giving this game a perfect 10 but I'm not putting it that down as the rest...
· GRAPHICS (10) - Great graphics, the best I've seen in this generation, very realistic and detailed!
· SOUND (9) - Music is very adequate plus you will miss some famous voices but that doesn't mean the new ones are not good, Troy Baker makes an excellent Joker!
· GAMEPLAY (8.5) - It's the same as the last two games, nothing new but that's not a bad thing...neither a good thing. The new detective mode is better and much fun!
· STORY (9.8) - Very interesting story and way better than the last two games, it's like if it was from a new comic of Batman, very detective-like!

This younger Batman is way more aggressive to the criminals, the battles are still the greatest from all videogames! |
