The Wolverine - Review

A little late but here it is:

Logan/Wolverine is back in this solo-film and while it feels short comparing it to other films out this year, it is not a bad film, it's worth watching it at least once...

Here is the official plot: In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

This film is way better than the X-Men Origins Wolverine that was made a few years ago (that movie was horrible) but this one is not as perfect and interesting as First Class or even the original X-Men film...
She's Viper, one of the main villians in the film...nothing special
Wolverine is the only one who steals the show!

Hugh Jackman makes a realistic Wolverine that has feelings and doubts about himself, that's the best from this movie as we see him without his curative powers and fighting enemies he can't win. There are also a few comedy scenes but not over the top (this is a serious film), these scenes fit with the character we all love.

The supporting cast is average, I'd say the only ones who saves is Tao Okamoto as Mariko (it's quite amazing as this is her first film ever made!), the rest of them are very standart with second-dimension personalities. The villians in this film are not quite good and their goals are ridiculous...

Now for the plot, it's easy and simple and the plot twists are nothing special, you feel how it's going to end from the first minutes of the film...the only good thing this film has is Logan's story and his relationship with Mariko, the rest is boring and some action scenes have nothing important to appear (for example the scene where the "bad guys" want to cut Wolverine's claws...why?)

SPOILERS AHEAD!!
I have to add here that the best scene from the film is the one after credits where Professor X and Magneto appear to ask Logan for help, this scene is amazingly good as you see, again, the greatest X-Men from all movies together again, this scene is a good start for X-Men: Days of Future Past!

· BEST: Hugh Jackman as Logan is amazingly good plus que final scene.

· WORST: The plot has nothing special, it's boring (the film is saved thanks to the acting and some fun action scenes)
