The Lone Ranger - Review

I was looking foward for this movie, I have watched every Johnny Depp movie, he's my favourite actor and I know he has been doing "weird" characters lately but it's not a reason to stop watching him...in this movie where he becomes the main actor perfoming a secondary character,e he still does that amazing job as he did with Jack Sparrow.

Everyboy knows "The Lone Ranger", even I've never watched the show I still know what's about. I can't compare it to the original series but I can confirm it's a movie worth watching as it has action, adventures, comedy and a great cast!

The official plot is: In the 1930s, an elderly Tonto tells a young boy the tale of John Reid, the Lone Ranger. An idealistic lawyer, he rides with his brother and fellow Texas Rangers in pursuit of the notorious Butch Cavendish. Ambushed by the outlaw and left for dead, John Reid is rescued by the renegade Comanche, Tonto, at the insistence of a mysterious white horse and offers to help him to bring Cavendish to justice. Becoming a reluctant masked rider with a seemingly incomprehensible partner, Reid pursues the criminal against all obstacles. However, John and Tonto learn that Cavendish is only part of a far greater injustice and the pair must fight it in an adventure that would make them a legend.

This film has more action than the original TV Show, there are many special effects and amazing fights; we could say this movie has three parts, the first part is an introduction to the Ranger's story and past, then the second part is mostly adventures but it feels quite slow and a little "boring" while the last part is the typical non-stop action sequences, shotting and explosions everywhere.
There are many funny scenes...especially with the white horse...

This is not a bad thing (It could be worse), almost all films are like that but the high point here is the main cast Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger himself! They are a perfect team, Depp's Tonto version is amazingly perfect and Hammer's Ranger is also well done, I can't see anyone else doing the Lone Ranger, he did an amazing job!! The rest of the cast has done a great job too especially Helena Bonham Carter (she always does a good job!).

The only issue in this film is about the importance of Tonto's story, this film should be called "Tonto" as it's more about him than to The Lone Ranger but we still get lots of things about John Reid.
It's a fun film, maybe not as good as you expected to be but still fun to watch plus the amazing duo, I really want to see a sequel with those two again!!

· BEST: Johnny depp's Tonto is perfect plus Arnie Hammer as The Lone Ranger!!

· WORST: Simple plot with the same action scenes as always, the middle part of the movie is too slow...
