The Lone Ranger - Review

Image
I was looking foward for this movie, I have watched every Johnny Depp movie, he's my favourite actor and I know he has been doing "weird" characters lately but it's not a reason to stop watching him...in this movie where he becomes the main actor perfoming a secondary character,e he still does that amazing job as he did with Jack Sparrow. Everyboy knows "The Lone Ranger", even I've never watched the show I still know what's about. I can't compare it to the original series but I can confirm it's a movie worth watching as it has action, adventures, comedy and a great cast! The official plot is: In the 1930s, an elderly Tonto tells a young boy the tale of John Reid, the Lone Ranger. An idealistic lawyer, he rides with his brother and fellow Texas Rangers in pursuit of the notorious Butch Cavendish. Ambushed by the outlaw and left for dead, John Reid is rescued by the renegade Comanche, Tonto, at the insistence of a mysterious white horse a...

Red 2 - Review

Image
Another action/comedy film for this summer but this one is quite different as the first one (back in 2010) was a very funny film worth watching a few times...is it this one the same, better or worse? I would say is the same and that's not a bad thing! Frank Mosses aka. Bruce Willis reunites his unlikely team to find a missing nuclear device...they will have to go around the globe to find it and that includes places like London, Paris and Moscow! If it wasn't for John Malkovich, this movie wouldn't be that funny... The retired CIA agents are back and they act even funnier than the last one, Bruce Willis does a good job (as always) playing the retired agent who wants to live a normal life with his wife, played by the funny Mary-Louise Parker who does a better job than the last time, she has so many one-liners and funny scenes as a woman who wants to live adventures and dangerous missions. This film is all about the entire cast as they all are amazingly good, I think ...

The Wolverine - Review

Image
A little late but here it is: Logan/Wolverine is back in this solo-film and while it feels short comparing it to other films out this year, it is not a bad film, it's worth watching it at least once... Here is the official plot: In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before. This film is way better than the X-Men Origins Wolverine that was made a few years ago (that movie was horrible) but this one is not as perfect and interesting as First Class or even the original X-Men film... She's Viper, one of the main villians in the film...nothing special Wolverine is the only one who steals the show! Hugh Jackman makes a re...

Burial at Sea - Bioshock Infinite

Image
Just announced the upcoming DLC for Bioshock Infinite where the main characters from the game go to Rapture they same day the revolution that destroys the city begins. It will be released in two episodes; in the first one (will be released later this year) we'll control Booker DeWitt once more acting as a private detective in a very noir-style while in the second episode (coming out at start of 2014) we will control Elizabeth herself and the gameplay will be different looking more like a survival-horror than a shooter...but not only that but the girl will also have a darker look in a femme-fatale style. It will be interesting to see those characters in the amazing city of Rapture but I also would have liked to see them in a new area of Columbia but what they released looks very, very interesing and amazing to play! Here's the official trailer for Episode I and a very well done artwork of Elizabeth with her noir-style:

Meet the new Doctor!

Image
A few months ago, Matt Smith (the current Doctor Who) said he was going to step off at the end of this year once he films the 50th Anniversary Special Episode plus the Christmas Special...people were like crazy thinking who was going to become the new Doctor...until now. Yesterday, the BBC announced who was going to replace him, and that pers on is Peter Capaldi...55 years old and known by his funny acting at the TV show "The Thick of it"....he is much older than the last choices but, altrought  don't think he will be better than David Tennant, it will be interesting to see what he can do...we only have to wait!
