PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One

Ok, the E3 2013 is over and Sony et Microsoft had show their newest hardware and it seems this console war has just begun...I'll write here my personal toughts about them...

XBOX ONE

I'll start with the new Xbox, why? Because I have been following them since the first one appeared (I've had an original Xbox and the Xbox 360 on day one). I have enjoyed the Xbox 360 very much, I think it has won this current generation because they did things in the right way and gave people what they wanted plus lots of PlayStation exclusives going to Xbox too!

But now they announced the new Xbox One...

· How does it look?
It looks like an old VHS player...and my current blu-ray looks even better than this box! Sorry but I don't like the look of the box, looks too simple and too big. Even the original one looked nicer! The good thing is the controller which is an upgrated version fro the old one plus magnetic triggers which is an interesting thing...

· What about graphics and all that stuff?
Microsoft says it will work like ten 360's together, so that means it's high perfomance, it has 8 GB DDR3 RAM and has three different processors to work everything. That means good graphics and a good perfomance and speed. Plus blu-ray, wi-fi and the famous Kinect 2.0 with camera that detects your moves and speech recognition.
Xbox Live comesback and it will have the same as always plus new stuff like being able to watch TV, record your favourite shows and even your own gameplay from your games!

· Price and release date?
499 Euros and 499 dollars...it is a high price and it comes out November this year!

· Games?
It seems they are getting more exclusive games this time like Dead Rising 3 and Quantum Break (new IP) plus they known ones like Halo. And the multiplatform games like Watchdogs, Assassin's Creed IV and the amazing titles like Final Fantasy XV plus Kingdom Hearts III!!

·Now for the bad things...
This machine has to be always connected on the internet...at least once per day, if it is not then it doesn't let you play games or watch movies. The second-hand games are forgiven here, you can buy them if you want but you'll end paying almost the same as if it was new. You can lend a game to a friend just once (and there are a few restrictions to do that)...to keep it short, you only can buy new games and if you want to get rid of them you'll have to wait a long time and won't have money back.
Xbox Live will have a fee to pay as always and Kinect has to be always connected on your console (can be turned off), if not it will turn off itself...those are quite bad things...

PROVISIONAL RATING: 4 / 10
It seems they want to make the disc disappear and let the console work like Steam and everything with internet, this is an upgrade but most people won't like it if the prices of games are that high...I'm sorry but for me this is a loss, goodbye Xbox, it has been nice meeting you...

PLAYSTATION 4

Time for the fourth PlayStation, I've had a PS1, PS2, PSP and no PS3 (because I was happy enough with my Xbox 360) but for this next generation I'm switching to this one as it looks like it's for hardcore gamers like myself. PlayStation 3 had very bad moments, it was a slow start that ended very well with lots of amazing exclusive games. They did a great presentation at the E3, here it goes!

· How does it look?
It looks simple and like a modern version of the PlayStation 2. I acually like the new style of console and they way the buttons and connectors are hidden. The controller is, also, an upgraded version of the old one with bigger triggers and a touchpad-screen with the same motion control as always.

·What about graphics and all that stuff?
If the Xbox One will have excellent graphics, PS4 will have even better ones! As the entire processor will be exclusively to the games and the entire 8 GB DDR5 RAM are exclusively for good graphics. So we know that PS4 will have the best graphics and faster perfomance in games. Blu-ray comes back and also the PlayStation Eye with the "magic" controller. They say it will have speech recognition as well and the same as always, you can buy games and rent movies from PlayStation Network plus live streaming from other friends, recorsing your own gameplay and share it on Youtube and other social networks.
Also notice that, unlike Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 doesn't need internet connection to use it and you can use second-hand games like always with no problem! Plus region free games!!

·Price and release date?
399 Euros or 399 Dollars (100 cheaper than X-One) and coming out this Christmas!!

·Games?
Sony biggest annoucement, I think, was the release of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III on the PS4 (the shame is that it'll be released in the Xbox One as well). Their exclusives are interesting like The Order - 1886, Killzone, Infamous: The Second Son plus other ones that will come out later like the so awaited "The Last Guardian" and other entries lie Uncharted and God of War. The multi-ones are also amazing!

·Now for the bad things...
Not so many exclusive games this time, but like PS3, they always come late and the wait is worth it...PlayStation Network Plus will be payable (less than 5 euros per month) and there will be some online restrictions for second-hand games...but all this is actually happening with the actual consoles...so this not bad...

PROVISIONAL RATING: 9 / 10
They have won this time! Everything wrong the Xbox One has done, the PS4 has done it right! I'm going to buy a PlayStation 4 this time with no doubts!!
