Man of Steel - Review
After the big dissapoint that was "Superman Returns", now it comes a new Superman film that deserves to be watched at least twice!
Man of Steel is the first film for a possible new trilogy where all the actors and the entire storylines has been changed a little bit for best...even the costume has been changed for good!
This new start is far better than the older films, we see the a more realistic origin to Superman's back story and a more realistic Man of Steel with more feelings to his parents and humanity.
Here's the plot: A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
New actors are very good doing their jobs, especially for Henry Cavill has been an excellent choice for the new Superman and I hope he keeps making the sequels (if there are any) plus the great works for Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe as the two fathers of the superhero. Amy Adams does a good job as Lois Lane but she may feel a little cold than the one from the original films...
What I liked about this film is the way they show Superman's weakness and feelings against death (the last scene from the final fight is excellent). Plus there are more action sequences than the old ones with far more and better special effects; the fights against General Zood are amazing and look so surreal.
While this film is quite well done in a more serious tone than the other ones (it's Christopher Nolan here) it doesn't feel as amazing as The Dark Knight it was neither as fun to watch as Iron Man Trilogy or even the Avengers! But do not worry, this film is worth watch it a few times...and hoping that there's a new sequel!
· BEST: The entire cast does a great job and Henry Cavill is a new favourite Superman! Plus final fight scene against General Zood.
· WORST: There's something missing that I can't explain...plus the new Lois Lane seems colder and distant than the original one...
1. Iron Man 3 (8.7)

This film confirms why the world needs Superman (or should I say...Man of Steel) |
