Guardians of the Galaxy has become a huge hit and has been aclaimed by critics and fans making it the best film of 2014 mixing good action and great comedy. Really can't wait what's in store for the sequel...it has been a great year for super-heroes movies thanks to Guardians, the amazing Captain America sequel, the last X-Men movie joining the old cast with the first generation ones, Big Hero 6 has been a fun surprise as well and other sci-fi movies like Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Then there has been huge let downs like the fourth Transformers movie and Ninja Turtles (thanks a lot, Michael Bay!) but the big deception has been Transcendence...I was expecting to love than movie with the great cast of actors but it was, after all, trying too much with so little... Also another films have been released after a long waiting like Dumb and Dumber To, having the change to see Jim Carrey and Jeff Bridges together again was amazing and really unexpected!

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode 2 (9.7)
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (9.5)
Super Smash Bros for Wii U (9.3)
Assassin's Creed Unity (9.2)
Child of Light (9.2)

The Last of Us (9.0)
Hyrule Warriors (8.7)
Watch_Dogs (8.5)
The Last of Us (9.0)
Hyrule Warriors (8.7)
Watch_Dogs (8.5)
While I didn't post some of these reviews and I had to lower the note of the infamous Watch_Dogs after finishing it, I must say it has been a bad year for videogames... there has been amazing highlights for Wii U with the great and fun Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8, both have thousand of hours of fun with Child of Light (great surprise with cute story and characters), Bayonetta 2 (amazing gameplay) and Hyrule Warriors (too repetitive but still a lot of fun). If I think about it, the best games of the year have been for the Nintendo Console!
A good ending for the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, maybe it wasn't that great but at least we were able to play as Lightning one last time! The graphics were a letdown but the gameplay was way better than the other two games combined adding a lot of freedom in exploration and even faster fights!
But, as you can read, the top of the list is the DLC for Bioshock Infinite, the second part of Burial at Sea. A great but very, very sad ending joining the first and Infinite's stories involving Elizabeth in the events from the first game, you can read my full opinion of that episode in this post: Elizabeth's Real Intentions in Burial at Sea.

Then Assassin's Creed Unity was announced and it looked like a true next-gen videogame but it hasn't been so perfect thanks to the so many bugs it had. It works fine now thanks to the four patches but I think most people have lost their interest for the franchise...
About the other next-gen generation consoles, there has been a few new games and too many remastered editions from last-gen games. That's not a bad thing because The Last of Us: Remastered Edition was a blast but I actually expected some new games like The Order 1886, Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3 but those have been delayed for next year...I'm pretty sure 2015 will be a great year for videogames but I actually was expecting more...
